Port Bay Guide
The Docks: This position is favorable to Heavy tanks and a few Mediums. With the destructible wall circling this area separating it from the rest of the map you can make mistakes. As long as you have decent situational awareness, you can use this as your warning. If the wall blows up you lost your cover, it makes you aware there is an enemy shooting you, and gives you a chance to reposition. With this in mind, if an ally destroyed the wall then this position IMHO is weekend. Also another key point is the ships. The one in the far corner allows you to get on it and hull down and focus fire on the enemy spawn in the SW. This area gets a rating of Good as far as options and tactics.
Cap Town: This is one of the worst possible areas to play in. The cover you think you have does not actually exist because you can get shot from every other direction. I would not recommend this position for any tank or player. The only time this is even liable to go to is towards the end of the battle when your Mediums and TD's leave Overwatch or Medium Tank Circuit to aggressively push the few remaining tanks that 90% of the time or at the Docks. I give this area a rating of Awful as it has no good options.
Overwatch: This is the Hill that over looks Cap Town. I recommend this for every tank wether it be Light, Medium, Heavy, or TD. This position gives you firing positions on Cap Town, Medium Tank Circuit, and an The Docks. You have to have good situational awareness as you are in the center of the map and can be easily flanked, and you have to know how to identify parts of the battle that need support. This position isn't liable towards the end of the battle due to few remaining enemy tanks being chased by your team while giving you few shots. I give this a position of Great as it is a flawless support position.
Medium Tank Circuit: this is the open hilly area with the two bridges. I recommend this for Medium tank drivers and Light tank drivers. This position is not as common as the docks but can have a major effect on the battle. It allows you to quickly circle around your opponents and get flanking fire. Tanks with good gun depression can excel here with the hilly terrain. You must be careful though if you are two slow or get caught up out here away from the major skirmishes it can negatively effect the overall out come of the game. This position gets a rating of Good as it can be helpful in the short term goals but devastating to the long term.
This map is a very good example of a well balanced map. Neither spawn gets an advantage. And every tank type gets a spot to excel in.
Things that have been brought to my attention.

Nice, pretty good post man, however I was wondering; if you decide to get onto the ship, can you get back out? And is it a good idea to remain in Overwatch as a Tier VII Heavy in a Tier IX match for example? Wouldn't you get insta-flanked from Medium Tank Circuit? Good post man.
yes the ship can be exited after it is boarded. I can see where your coming from as far as being bottom tier. If your in Overwatch and its toward the end of the battle and your a bottom tier stock slow heavy and you know you can't reach the enemy then I would stay out and try to get damage in. But if there is still enough threat of being circled by a medium without your team easily backing you up such as a 3v2 and both your higher tier ally's a lower health and its 2 high health medium enemy's then I absolutely agree with you. It would be more beneficial to stay and support your ally's than risk losing another gun in the game. Great point I am glad you brought that up.
