Guide to the Bushes:
View Range and Cammo Rating
Cammo is one of the most important things to a TD or a Medium Tank. Weather your are firing from a distance or you are gust spotting your enemy you want to have a high cammo rating. This rating differed between each tank.
Cammo Rating
This is the base rating each tank has that determines the distance at which it can be spotted. Regardless of your rating if you are not within the View Range of an enemy tank you cannot be spotted, but you may have noticed sometimes you don't spot an enemy tank until you are right on top of them. This is because they either have a really high cammo rating or they are not in line of sight. For example if you are rushing around the flank on fort despair in a T-34 there could be a Crusader in a Bush. He is in a line of sight but his cammo rating is so high you won't see him right away. Next example your in a T-54 flanking on fort despair again this time an E-100 is sitting directly behind the building. You will not spot him until you are right on top of him because he is not in your line of sight.
Proxy Spotting
This is a game mechanics that automatically spots a tank within 50 meters of you. So no matter the cammo rating or well hidden a tank may be it will be spotted when it is within that 50 meters. We will use the E-100 and T-54 Example here again. The E-100 would need a cloaking device to have a high enough cammo rating to not be spotted by the T-54 but since neither of them have line of sight to each other they will not spot each other till they are within 50 meters.
Bushes
Bushes are a tanks best friend. A bush will provide extra cammo for your tank. As long as you are completely covered by the bush (excluding your gun). Don't be mistaken though because these sneaky little bushes can be deceiving. A bush has its own mechanics on how it works, First off when the bush is solid and transparent it is providing you with cover but it is also providing incoming tanks with cover. When attempting to spot you want to be far enough into the bush so it becomes transparent. After you spot you want to pull back behind the bush and fire. Whenever you fire your cammo rating drops. So in this situation you have the bush providing cover so when your rating drops it is evened out by the bush.
Getting spotted
When you are spotted you get an alert known as sixth sense. The light bulb indicator will appear but in actuality you were spotted 3sec prior to the indicator. In this situation pull back behind a bush or hill. After the indicator goes away wait about 5 sec and you should be unspotted. Now you can poke back out and shoot before getting spotted again. This works really well for peak-a-boom tactics.
View Range
Each tanks view range differs. In most cases Heavies will have the worst Mediums will have average view range and TD’s will have some of the best. Your view range can be increased with equipment and consumables. Your view range is what determines how far away you can spot enemies in the open. An opponent's cammo rating effectively requires more view range than normal to spot them.
Equipment
There is a large variety of equipment that can be used to increase View Range or equipment. Ventilation improves cammo and spotting range. Coated optics and binoculars increase view range and cammo net increases cammo rating. Based on the setup you want weather is sniper or passive scout or so on you will want to employ a combination of the previously mentioned equipment.
Consumables
There is only one cobsumable that will increase view range and Cammo rating. This is the “Extra Rations” or “tea and Pudding” or whatever the nations consumable name it has.
Crew Skills
Your crews training directly effect the value of your View range. At a 50% crew level your values are the weakest and at 100% they are the Strongest. In addition the just the Crew Skill Level there are Crew skills that will directly increase these values as well. If you want to increase the cammo rating or View Range you will want to play TD’s and train the Deadly Accuracy and the Camouflage Crew skills.
That is all I have currently If you guys have anything to add feel free to let me know in the comments. Also as I have time I will be adding the cammo values and the best setups to get maximum view range and cammo rating on each tank.
